My name is Rachael Wooldridge, Professional Choreographer & Teacher based in Essex. I trained at the London Studio Centre. Most of my professional career- performing to Choreographing to Directing has been in overseas. My full résumé can be found on, www.dancefitme.com take the link ‘about ‘me’’.

My work here in the UK has become extremely varied and most rewarding of late from Freelance Choreography: for Music Videos, International Entertainment programmes for Tour Operators and PR events.

I then also became available to Secondary Schools, Colleges and Universities teaching my own ‘Performance Related Workshops’ to go on to then start up my own ‘Performing Arts Club’, which began within a local health club a year ago, providing the junior members with a 60 dance fitness class and has now grown enabling us to stage our own production in May this year, which we are being asked to stage again at two more venues locally and in November we are hoping to appear at ‘Her Majesty’s’ in London!.

My next move is a natural progression, one I feel very passionate about. Due to one common link throughout my professional work, workshops and children’s classes, is a lack of strength and discipline performers have today.

I am to start ‘The Performing Arts Academy’ in September within the Fitness First Club, Colchester, aimed at school leavers for a gruelling 1-year part time course of dance training in performing arts.

Simple but effective- no exams, no course work. Just training young performers to enable them to PERFORM!
